Місце хронічної інфекції в патофізіології атеросклеротичних процесів у каротидних артеріях у хворих на цереброваскулярні захворювання

Є обмежена кількість даних щодо причин потовщення комплексу інтима — медіа сонної артерії в умовах інфекційного процесу. Етіологічна значущість мікробного чинника з формуванням атеросклеротичної бляшки потребує проведення додаткових досліджень. Висвітлено результати досліджень, присвячених вивченню атеросклеротичних бляшок, які мають ознаки локального запалення, можуть розірватися і спричинити розвиток тромбозу, а також можливість раннього хірургічного лікування пацієнтів з гострими порушеннями мозкового кровообігу на тлі стенозу, що дає змогу швидко усунути причини розвитку патологічного процесу, запобігти наростанню грубого неврологічного дефіциту, скоротити термін лікування та реабілітації хворих і значно знизити витрати на лікування.
